How do you make cocktails with chili?
Preparation time 5 - 10 minutes
In recent years, once every few days I come across the question: "Yotm, do you make cocktails at Spicehouse with chili?" The love of spicy that is developing in Israel combined with the hot climate reminds bartenders very much of Mexico...
So chili pepper, if you check in bars around the world or in professional bartending literature, you will find hundreds of versions of a classic margarita with Halpinio peppers, but our elongated red chili pepper is perfect on its own for similar uses. It has served me many times as an excellent substitute for the peppers from the books and sometimes blends better than the replacement peppers or the Benro. It is also excellent for soaking alcohol and introducing spiciness, a type of cold brew, and also to be used to decorate the glass and add color.
There's a really serious punch of flavors to this one, and it explodes like a plant with lots of heat and then again helps release all the other flavors of the drink after the spiciness wears off. It is about the enjoyment of spicy lovers in traditional food, and now it has also reached drinks. Therefore it is not surprising that the use of chili in cocktails and food continues to expand.
In honor of the summer and the holiday, I have put together two of my favorite recipes for making home-made cocktails that are particularly saucy to spicy in combination with the favorite holiday fruits, which require little to prepare and not too many raw materials. For those who invest and prepare, a real surprise awaits - you are welcome to leave comments after the preparation and of course ask questions.
There are 2 ways to infuse a cocktail with spiciness:
1. Soaking, for example, tequila is good between an hour and a day depending on your level of spicy love.
This method allows you to control exactly the degree of spiciness and is used in cocktail bars and restaurants
2. Crushing - another more primitive method but definitely good for home work is to chop the chile into thin slices and crush with a crusher in a shaker 1-2 slices before making the cocktail in a shaker.
So prepare a good and fresh tequila (Hardora, Patron, El Khimdor, etc.)

Slice 3 fresh chili peppers (or substitutes) and add to a large jar, including the seeds, along with a bottle of tequila to check the soaking after 30 minutes; Once the level of spiciness is strong but still good, strain the tequila back into its bottle. Keeps indefinitely, but the taste is wow
