Behind The Drinks

Thoughts on Pomegranate Daiquiri

I made our Pomegranate Daiquiri as an homage to Rosh Hashanah.
The cocktail is very rich with a fruity and full body.

The combination of the dry and traditional flavors of the holiday thanks the use I made of dry hibiscus tea with hints of flavors of red wine, fresh pomegranates and cherry wine, three rich and dry ingredients.

As for a good Daiquiri, I chose a Caribbean rum blend to introduce a fun, intoxicating alcoholic tone.

The origin of the name Daiquiri is the name of a beach near the city of Santiago de Cuba in Cuba, and also the name of an iron ore mine located near the beach and originating in the Taino language.

The cocktail was probably invented in 1905 at the Venus bar in the city by miners who sat down to drink in a bar, not far from their workplace.

Happy holiday,

And cheers!
